Great handle

I’m an older man who has arthritis in my hands. This product had the perfect handle for me to hold onto while I showed my grandsons how to make a fire. Our camping trip was turned into an outdoor learning experience with the help of this product. They also took turns starting fires with the easy to use tools.

Not impressed

This is a terrible flint as it is. If you remove the lanyard, you can actually get some movement, but it doesn't have any worthwhile spark.

Fire starter test and review

I tested it on several different types of flammable materials and I liked the ease in which it sparked fire to life. If I were in the need for another fire starter, I would definitely buy this one.

Magnesium, feral rod

I’ve used other magnesium ferel rods before but this is by far the best I’d definitely recommend using it I didn’t have anyone to video or take pictures of me actually starting the fire
